Thanksgiving and Snowshoeing

Our Thanksgiving tradition is to invite families over who do not have family in town to celebrate with. This year we had the Glover Family, The Clear Family and Us. We had a wonderful time with LOTS of food, lots of laughs and with 10 kids lots of energy! I have to tell you, we let the kids have the run of the basement and expected it to look like a war zone when all was said and done. What a blessing to head down at the end of the day and find it cleaner than when we sent them down! Great job cleaning up kids!So here we are, all those sweet well mannered children and their lovely parents. . .

Ok, so here's reality.

Saturday after Thanksgiving has become our day to go snowshoeing as a family. This year the weather was perfect for the first trip out. 37 degrees, no wind and plenty of sun.

It is exhausting riding in a backpack!

We have to cross the ski zone before we can do any sledding. It can get pretty exciting trying to cross a ski slope with snowboarders and skiers coming down on top of you. Last year a snowboarder jumped over Katie.

This guy is just too cute! He loved the snow. He didn't like to stand in it, but he crawled around backwards in it. I think when he went forward his jacket filled with snow.

Daddy and Ryan exploring this cold, white, stuff.

Megan woke up and took a few turns down the slope on a tube.
