What are AWANA Games?
Awana is a nation wide bible memory and discipleship program for kids ages 3 all the way through High School.
Anne involved in what I think was a relay race the involved bean bags and balance. |
Awana Games is chaos. When the kids go to Awana on Sunday nights they play games and sing songs, listen to speakers and work on Bible memory work. All chapters of Awana play the same games and the games are to promote teamwork, good sportsmanship and just for fun. Once a year teams from the same area get together to compete against each other. This was Anne and Katie's first year in Awana therefore their first year of Awana games. (Katie ended up not able to participate because she was sick) So teams from 4 different churches got together to play games that involved a spiderweb of ropes, bean bags, balls, balloons, and bowling pins! I never really knew what was going on, but the kids had a blast! Anne's team ended up coming in 2nd place. All around fun!
This one involved balloons. . . |
