This and That (and mom asked me to post some pictures :-)

So, over the past few months we have been VERY Busy!
Here are the highlights: (warning: LOTS OF PICTURES)

AWANA Grand Prix
All 5 of my kids (oops, 4 kids one husband) participated in the Grand Prix this year.  Ryan won a trophy for his car's design.

Here are all my participants, I think they all had fun.

End of the Year AWANA Awards Ceremony.

Anne finished her second year of TNT, Katie finished her third Sparks book, Megan finished her Cubbies book, and Ryan had a great time.
Ryan: hey mom, there is ice cream over there, could we hurry this up, PLEASE!

MEGAN TURNED 5!!!!!!
I can't believe that she turned 5.  Yes, I knew it was coming, but it still surprises  me when it does.
We closed on our new house 3 days after this and moved one week after Megan's party, so we opted for a PJ and Pancake birthday party.  Yum!

Isn't she a cute birthday girl!

Bonfire!
Before we moved out, we had a bonfire to take care of the cut limbs and brush around the yard.

Ryan picked some flowers for momma.

And if you are going to have a bonfire, then you need to have marshmallows, and chocolate and graham crackers. . .
Megan like marshmallows straight out of the bag

Anne likes them toasted to perfection!

 And Ryan discovered Heaven!

We moved!
We sold our first house, the house we bought as a young married couple with no children, the house we brought all our babies home to, the house that we left as a family of 6.  (sniff)
We sold it to another young newly married couple with a 1 year old little girl.  It is their first home.

We move into a bigger house with a great layout for a homeschool family.  It also has land!  Fruit trees, berries, beautiful landscaping, lots of room to run, a barn and a chicken coop!

Katie is not vigorously sweeping the driveway--she and her sister are playing broom ball in the driveway.  In Katie's defense, she does sweep the patio for me and does a fantastic job.  Perhaps that is why she is so good at broom ball!

Anne playing broom ball.  She will sweep the patio and porch as well.

The adventures of a new home.
When we had the septic inspected we found trouble, trouble that led to us needing a new drain field dug.  So here are the kids watching the test pits getting dug.  Ryan is going to be in heaven when they bring in the big excavators and lots of rock!

We went to the Rose parade.
Anne went to Wings and Waves water park with her AWANA group, so we picked up Paisley and away we went.
Katie and Paisley were a little chilly!

We've enjoyed settling into our new home!

The raspberries are just starting to get ripe. . .
This morning Ryan went out to look for Raspberries, he came in 20 minutes later--"no more rabberries!"
Anne and Ryan looking for strawberries.

A view of the side yard.  This is the herb garden.

A pretty rose with a heady fragrance!

Katie loves that there is a long driveway and pasture for riding bikes.

This is one of the last peonies on the bush,  There are at least 7 peony bushes on the property and several tree peonies.  Can't wait to see them in bloom next spring.

We have a spare room off the garage that we don't know what we are going to do with yet, so we put all the empty boxes in it and call it the box room.  The kids will go out there with scissors and duct tape and go wild!   Forts, Castles, amusement park rides, the possibilities are endless, and so is the supply of boxes it seems!

My sister Emilie is getting Married!
What?!?!??
I was able to fly to Connecticut to go to my sister's bridal shower.  She and Jeffery are such a cute couple and are going to have a wonderful marriage!

Yes, Emilie, in a few weeks you will be Mrs. Jeffery Duncan.

Blythe, a friend of Em's from elementary school, admiring Emilie's ring.  Also commenting on how small her fingers are!  Emilie wears a size 4 ring!!!

Only a woman setting up a household gets excited over bakeware!

We had such a great time.  Emily, the maid of honor, (to the left of Emilie) pulled off a lovely shower and made is so special and meaningful.  Great job and thank you.

My trip to CT for the Bridal Shower also included Mother's day weekend.  Mom had all her kids together for Mother's Day for the first time in years!  To say she was thrilled is a MASSIVE understatement.

All us kids together.  Isaac had to get a picture because his buddies a work did not believe that he had sisters!

Dad and his girls.

So that had been life for the past 6 weeks or so.  In a few weeks we will be having a open house and birthday for Phil, then is 4th of July and then Emilie's wedding!  Whew!  I'm tired.
