This is my dad. . .
This is also a picture of my third daughter. . .
This is my dad playing one of his favorite rolls. . .Grandpa.
He has taught me a lot as I have grown up, patience, perseverance, to be quick to volunteer, adventure, how to fish, how to shoot a rifle, how to ride my bike, how to steer a toboggan, he tried and tried to teach me how to tie a few sailor knots. . .well, you can't win them all :-)! This and so much more. Thanks, Dad, I love you!
Now here is another father in my life that I happen to like very much, as well. . .
Now here is another father in my life that I happen to like very much, as well. . .
We got him a new grill for Father's Day. Ain't it shiny and new? He's a pretty good dad, too. He loves his children. He teaches, he makes the kids think through problems rather than showing them how to solve it. He is an example of work hard, play hard. I think the thing that I admire most about this particular Dad is how he shows the kids that God is in control of everything. Even when bad things happen, it points to God and his plan.
Now this other guy, is the Dad of . . . never mind that will get too confusing. . .This guy is my Father-in-law. He is very good at problem solving as well, and can fix or build most anything around the house. He has helped with several little (or not so little) projects around here. He loves his family, and is a good model of honoring and respecting family.
Happy Father's Day, DADS!!!
Sorry this is so late, but around here Father's Day backs up to two birthdays and 4th of July with in a week. . .things can get a bit hectic around here!
