So Megan told me about a week ago that her tooth was loose. "Oh, great!" said mommy (perhaps a little less than enthusiastically). Loose teeth gross mommy out. So life went on, and there was no major wiggling, no minute to minute updates, no dangling from a thread drama. Just Sunday night. As Phil and I were settling down to watch a show, "Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!" from a bedroom that was supposed to be tucked in a sleeping. Mommy did not want to move from the comfort of her warm bed. So Daddy went instead. He comes back in a moment later. "Megan lost her tooth." I had completely forgotten about the loose tooth.
What made it so funny was that she said that she rolled over in bed and felt something hard. She thought it was her tooth, but she put it back in her mouth just to be sure! It fit, so she decided, "Yep it's mine!" (a direct quote).
This is spelling. Specifically the "All about Spelling" program. I love it. Spelling is beginning to make sense to me! Megan wanted to take a picture of her spelling lesson.
Ryan after bath and a run in with his hairstyling sisters!
"When will I lose a tooth?"
I call this "What happens when. . ." Science. Ryan is this type of person, so every once in a while I will just put out some random stuff and let them find out what happens when they do this or that. It is always fun and always messy. But at least when this is done my kitchen floor gets mopped!
We often find the cats in various states of repose around our house. . .
Sometimes they are not so subtly letting us know they would like a snack. (Go catch a mouse!)
Taking over the dog's bed
Staring intently at something.
The twins, probably wondering how long till dinner. (Go catch some mice!)
Squeezing into a small box.
Pretending to be a chicken.
Teasing the dog from the rafters
Or just a heap of cat,
However the other day the kids went into the school room and this is what they found. . .
Now, our cats are all BARN CATS! That means OUTSIDE!
Maybe if I look for a book they will let me stay.
Nuts, they are going to make me go back outstide!
