"I'm Dreaming of a Wet Christmas. . . ."

. . .Sang no one. Ever. However, more often than not, that is what we get here in the Northwest. Interestingly enough, this year we actually did get a white Christmas! It started as we were driving to church for the Christmas Eve service. It got slick quick and we were glad we were in the 4WD pickup and not the van. The snow continued through early morning and we had a skiff of snow on the ground Christmas morning. I kept saying: "I'll go take pictures in a minute. . ." Well that minute never came, so no pictures of our very rare, White Christmas! My Bad! I did get a shot of the after presents chaos! Let's take an inventory: Legos, Army men, tank, helicopter, silly putty, puzzles, American girl accessories, Nerf darts, and much toy packaging. A few days after Christmas, we were invited to join Phil's brother and family in Seaside, Oregon for a few days. We stayed in a lovely hotel, and had a wonderful suite...

. . .And we can call her Lindsey Vonn. . . So the Olympics may be influencing our kiddos. What is this? That is what many people in the Portland area are saying right now. You see, here in the Clackamas/ Willamette Valley by the time the middle of February, people are turning over the gardens and if they are really ambitious, starting early cold weather crops. By Mid February spring has sprung my friends. My neighbor had daffodils blooming. And then this started happening! Do you see the look of confusion! I think this is a huddle to figure out how to handle all this. This was the only brave chicken. "Can I eat it?" This is Starlight, he is not amused by the snow. By morning this is what we woke up to! Summer Fun

The lazy days of summer are flying past us. I realized that I have not posted anything for some time. We have not done anything super exciting as far as vacation trips or what not, pretty much just stuck around home, but it has been a fun summer none the less. So here is a run down of some of our fun this summer. Oaks Park. At the end of the school year, one of the groups we are involved in provided a trip to the Oaks Park amusement park. Weather was fickle and we had sun, wind and torrential rain. Oregon weather is so fun! I found this cute picture of the babies. Anne's last ballet. She was in Cinderella. She is going to take a break and try other activities for a while. Megan turned 7. Anne made her a hippo cake. Megan wanted a hippo cake.
