What we have been up to lately. . . (part 1)

Several years ago I learned how to set up a blog. So I went home to get started, and was immediatly confused. So I put it off for 5 years and two kids. Then my sweet friend Anna came over and helped me to get started again. So here we go again. Thanks Anna!

So as I get this blogging thing off the ground, here are some pictures to catch you up with what we have been up to the past few months. We love to go to the beach, these pictures are when we stayed at our dear friends house at the beach.
Ryan loves sticks. He is all boy, if there are sticks, rocks, mud, aything that can be thrown, smashed, or beaten on he loves them!

Here is Daddy and Ryan playing with the camp fire. It's a guy thing--if there is a fire they have to, by nature watch sticks burn.

Check out the concentration on Anne's face--she had the most perfectly roasted hot dog ever!

Anne working on the giant sand castle. Note the t-shirt, it is rare on the Oregon Coast to wear short sleeve shirts!

Megan opted for the sweatshirt, for her day at the beach. I love her expressions!

Katie adding detail to the castle. It includes windows, carvings and curly cues, and a drawbridge.

I include this picture because it is so un-Katie like. We rarely see Katie sit still. Ever. And it made such a pretty picture.

Ok, you need to understand, the even by September the ocean in Oregon is ice cold! But they just had to put their toes in. Notice, Mom is not in the water!

Megan enjoying the beach.

Checking out a crab shell on the beach.

Anne and Megan at the Oregon coast aquarium.
