So what have we been up to these past several months. . . .
Well for one we bought a new computer and it has taken me a little while to figure out where everything went and how to access it. That done, well we have been just plain busy!
Here are some pictures of the fun things we have been doing.
Ryan went snowshoeing for the first time. He loved it! Now he straps anything and everything to his feet and says in his cute 2 year old voice "Momma, I nowtooing!"
We went to the zoo to see the new flamingo exhibit. Here are the girls looking at the Ringtail miner's cat exhibit.
I love this one. There is a big plexiglass viewing window and right there and Ryan has to squeeze his face in between the bamboo slats to look at the flamingos!
My polar bear club.
I love this picture of Katie and the Sea Lion. Look how small she looks and the Sea Lion is focused right on her!
We have been making clouds out of Ivory soap in the microwave. Try it! 1/4 bar of Ivory soap on wax paper in the microwave for 3 minutes. It just keeps growing and growing! Then toss the kids in the tub and let the wash with clouds. They love it!
And here is what Ryan does while Mommy is reading a History lesson to them and they are supposed to be coloring a picture about the story!
I guess I failed to get the point across that the picture was to go on paper!
Here are the kids and some friends making igloos out of cupcakes, marshmallows and frosting. Can any one say sugar high!
Yes, momma, you caught me sneaking valentine's day candy!
Ryan: "Momma play ou-side?"
Momma: "ok, Ryan go put on some pants, it's chilly outside."
Ryan: "ok, momma"
Hmmmm, I think something got lost in translation!
Awana Grand Prix Winners. Megan and Anne won award for car design and Katie came in third place overall in her age group.
More cloud projects. Did you know you can make puff paint out of shaving cream and Elmer's glue? The Internet is amazing.
Megan and Ryan went from cribs to bunk beds!
I think they are all thrilled with the new beds.
Easter Egg hunt at a friends' church. The first egg hunt I have ever taken the kids to. We usually do our own in the back yard.
Counting the loot!
These violets are from Phil's great grandfather.
Q: How do you know when Ryan has had a great day of play?
A: When he falls asleep at the dinner table!
We were visited by Mrs. Mallard and her ducklings
We went to the Tulip Festival
(Ryan is not that thrilled to be on a PINK, yes, PINK John Deer tractor)
Much better. John Deers are supposed to be green!
Beautiful Tulips!
And these were my favorites!
Sweet Megan, she rarely holds still long enough to take a picture.
Another beauty among the tulips
Gotta love digital cameras and siblings!
And I held a flower arranging class for some third grade girls who made lovely arrangements for their home school group tutor.
So that is a quick run down of what we have been doing the past few months, hopefully I will be better at keeping this blog updated.
