We have been busy!

So busy that we have fallen asleep on the stairs--too tired to make it to bed!

We have had company come and go and we have come and gone from friends and family homes this month.  It is nice to be home for a weekend this month!
The extra kids in the picture are my cousin's kiddos--she has 4 and we have 4.  For those of you in higher math that is 8 kiddos in one house for three days.  Good thing we had good weather and they stayed outside most of the days!

All the kiddos played well when my cousin and her hubby came to visit.  Her hubby and mine went to climb Mt. Hood and we played with kids all day long.  Megan and Sunshine we particularly cute.  They played all day Saturday and then at dinner I hear Sunshine say to Megan "What is your name?"  And Megan's reply was "I'm Megan, What is your name?"  HA HA HA!
This is Sunshine and Megan.  They were two peas in a pod all weekend!

Heidi and Brandon.  This is how Brandon looked after climbing Mt. Hood!  (Just kidding)

We made a letter board.  With Megan and Ryan learning letters and numbers we made a letter board.  Perhaps later it will be a number board too, but for now it is letters.  I got some cardboard letters from a game that we played at my brother in law's 40th birthday party and we painted them up, put Velcro on the back, and hung a section of fleece on the wall.
Katie painting eggs on the letter E

Yes, that is a smock on the back of his chair, but I could not get him to wear it.  So now the bear on his shirt has silver sparkles on it.

So here is the board.  Not complete because I did not get the full alphabet from the game.  So we have 9 letters to make ourselves, and I think that I want to decorate the fleece background with some applique around the edge.  We will see, but for now they are having fun making funny words and sometimes some real ones!
I just love how all the letters turned out!  The kids did a great job and we all had fun doing the project!
