O'Hare Nightmare

So I flew to Connecticut to surprise my sister for her bridal shower.  I got there just fine, no delays and all went smoothly.  We had a great weekend visiting and spending Mother's Day with our mom.  This was the first time in years that all of us kids were together with our mother for Mother's day.  She was on top of the world.  So all is going well. . .
Monday afternoon I was delivered to the airport to catch a flight to Chicago and then on to home.  I got to the gate and knew that this flight was not going to go as smoothly as the ride out.  There was no airplane.  It had been delayed leaving Chicago because of weather.  So we left Bradley an hour and a half late, and arrived to Chicago three hours late!  There were terrible thunderstorms over Chicago and long story short, all flights were grounded and that is how I wound up in this long line.  This shot is only the front half of the line.  There just as many people behind me as in front.   The two wonderful people who were in the row with me had cell phone and they stood in different lines and stayed on the phone with customer service to get us new flights.  I found food for all of us.  So we spend the night in Chicago, and with the new friends I made, we spent and enjoyable all nighter in uncomfortable seats near power stations (to charge cell phones).  Yea, we all would have rather gotten home when we first set out, but I think we made the best out of our situation.
Lauryn, Scott and Andy, It was memorable. . .
