Buddies and other cuteness

Well, the card reader finally arrived after Amazon lost the first one and sent the other to our old address. . .Meanwhile we have had a lot of cuteness going on around here!  We thought that we would have enough eggs for the family and to sell with the number of chicks we started with in the fall.  However, more of those chicks turned out to be roosters than we thought and so we have 5 laying hen as of now, so we went and bought 8 chicks and are getting 5 more at a give away on Saturday.  So one day I walked into the laundry room (that is where we raise the chicks till they are 6 weeks and then out they go to the brooder house outside), and this is what I saw. . .

Buddies.  They do this frequently and sleep in a heap.  Sometimes they look like one chick --half black, half white!

When you bring home chicks, they are put into a box about 8" by 8".  You can fit probably 15 or so chicks into one box.    Or one 8 lb.  long hair orange tabby.   Just in case you were wondering.

In other cuteness, here are some pictures of some of the other chicks.  These two are now six weeks old and in the brooder house.

And another case of cuteness on the farm. . .These two are hiding. . .perhaps hoping an unsuspecting mouse or bird will run by.

Now that our card reader in here, I have to sort through the pictures from the last several months and get them on here.  Preview: Gymnastics, talent show, legos and just general life.  Until later. . .
